What makes an email a “burner”
Like a burner phone, a burner email is meant to be used briefly and then thrown away, with nothing linking it back to you. This one is created without your name, password, phone number, or personal email. It exists for 24 hours, and then the address and everything in it are deleted from our servers.
Burn it whenever you want
You don’t have to wait for the timer. Press Delete and confirm, and the inbox and all its messages are removed immediately. Press New address for a fresh burner.
What a burner email protects you from
- Marketing lists. The site can email the burner as much as it likes. After a day, nobody reads it.
- Data breaches. If the site leaks its user list, your real address isn’t on it.
- Tracking. Remote images, which senders use to see when and where you opened an email, stay blocked unless you load them.
- Linking your accounts. Sites can’t match your burner to your real email to build a profile of you.
What a burner email doesn’t hide
A burner address hides your email, not you. The websites you visit can still see your IP address, and we process it briefly to run the service and stop abuse, as described in our privacy policy. A burner email is a privacy tool, not a way to avoid responsibility: misuse breaks our terms.
Questions
Do I need a phone number or account?
No. There is no account. A quick automatic bot check is the only step before you get the address.
Can I reply from a burner email?
No. This inbox is receive-only. It never sends, replies to, or forwards email.
What happens to mail sent after I delete the burner?
It is rejected. Once an address is deleted, nothing sent to it is stored. An expired inbox is deleted by our hourly cleanup, and any mail that arrives before then is deleted with it, unread.
